The funeral of Saratu Gidado, also known as Daso, was held at the palace of His Highness the Emir of Kano, where His Highness Aminu Ado Bayero attended the funeral prayer.
Numerous colleagues of the late Saratu Gidado, along with several prominent individuals from Kano and other members of the community, were in attendance at the funeral.
Daso, with the real name of Saratu Gidado (January 17, 1968 - April 9, 2024), earned her repute in the Nigerian cinematic sphere -- notably within Kannywood. She gained acclaim for embodying rambunctious and troublesome personalities that surmounted tribulations to attain celebrity status. Her inaugural screen appearance took place in 2000 through Linzami Da Wuta by Sarauniya Movies' production. Post this debut, she was seen gracing screens in celebrated productions such as Nagari, Gidauniya, Mashi, and Sansani.
